Olympic Rings Monument
This is the work of Xurxo Vázquez Pardo, an abstract sculptor born in Vigo in 1948. It is located on the roundabout between the avenues Fragoso and Balaídos, near the football stadium. It was unveiled in 1982 when some of the World Championship matches were held here. It is composed of a set of lines in movement that represent athletes or sportspeople.
