The Rape of Europe
This sculpture is by Oliveira, who also sculpted the Horses at Plaza de España. It is located at the end of Avenida de Europa.
It symbolizes the Rape of Europe with the god Zeus transformed into a bull with the Greek goddess Europe on top of it holding the flag of the European Union. It is 7 metres high and weighs 1500 kg.
