Monument to Fishermen
This figure was sculpted by Alfonso Vilar Lamelas and unveiled in 1955. It measures 12m in height and is a tribute to the workers of the sea.
The figure of fisherman dressed to go to sea and holding an oar in his left hand stands on a pedestal in two sections. At the front there is a woman with a child and a basket of fish, waiting patiently for his return or showing the fruits of the sea.
