Monument to Rosalía de Castro
This work is dedicated to the great Galician writer and poetess and is located at the junction of the street which bears her name, Rosalía de Castro, and República Argentina. It is by Armando Rodríguez and was unveiled in 1995.
The work shows Rosalía de Castro surrounded by her children reading a book. It was sculpted from a granite block from the nearby town of Porriño measuring 4.20m in height and it is raised on a platform in the middle of a round fountain.
