The first Alcampo opened in Coia in 1981 and was followed by a second centre in Avenida de Madrid in 1988.
The driving force behind Alcampo from the outset was to give total satisfaction, not only to its customers, but also to suppliers and employees. The key has been to offer the customer a wide range of high quality products at the best price and in a pleasant shopping environment.

- CAMELIAS SHOPPING CENTRE (Plaza de América, 1 Tel: 986 208 311)
Camelias Shopping Centre is located at Plaza de América, at the start of Calle Camelias and is easy to reach by public transport.
There are six stories in the centre. On the ground floor there is a variety of cafés and restaurants. At Plaza Level there are more cafés, shops offering personal items, accessories and various services. The second floor is mainly fashion stores, personal items, accessories, various services and cafés or restaurants. In the basement there is a three-storey underground car park.
- VIGO UNIVERSITY SHOPPING CENTRE (University of Vigo Campus -Lagoas Marcosende Tel: 986 467 860)
On campus at Vigo University there is a shopping centre with 26 premises to meet all requirements. Among the shops and services there is a stationer’s, the university shop, a supermarket, pharmacy, driving school, bookshop, travel agency and sports complex.
- GRAN VÍA SHOPPING CENTRE (C/ Miradoiro, 2 Tel: 986 447 500)
The shopping centre at Gran Vía opened in June 2006 with 150 premises and 1700 parking spaces. It is the largest shopping centre in Galicia and covers a ground of 25,000m2. This new shopping centre, located at Finca do Conde covers an area of 41,246m2 over three floors.
It serves a total area of more than half a million people and there are many well- known stores – fashion labels, household goods and bars and restaurants. There is also a large Carrefour supermarket measuring 7000m2.
Local brand names make up 40% of the premises. Brand names like "A otra cosa", "Kenzo Pop", "A Cova Meiga", "Frutas Nieves", "Papo's" o "El Rioba", among others.
Gran Vía Shopping Centre is the first to have VIP's in Pontevedra and has the first H&M (youth fashion) in Vigo with an area of 1200m2. There are three underground stories for parking with 1700 spaces and a car valet service called "O Limpo".
- TRAVESÍA DE VIGO SHOPPING CENTRE (Travesía de Vigo, 202 Tel: 986 277 908)
This shopping centre opened in October 2003. It has four stories and a total area of 67,000m2.
There is an underground car park consisting of two floors with capacity for 1,500 cars. Access to the shopping centre (27.000m2) from the car park is via escalator ramps convenient for trolley use.
On the ground floor there is a large supermarket with a total area of 9500m2. There are also fashion outlets, shops selling household goods, accessories and offering leisure and other services.
On the upper floor there is a wide variety of shops including fashion retail outlets, accessories, leisure, services and bars and restaurants. There is also a ten-screen cinema.
- EL CORTE INGLÉS DEPARTMENT STORE (Gran Vía, 25-27 Tel: 986 415 111)
The Corte Inglés is the leading chain of department stores in Spain. It offers a great selection of high-quality goods and the latest fashions.
It is the ideal place to hunt for gifts or to buy for oneself.
In the "Expojardín" department there is a great range of plants, garden furniture and lighting. In the section called "Sabores de siempre" a wide variety of homemade and traditional food products are available. Visit the "Hogar al Día" section to find great offers in home decoration.
In order to make shopping easier an interpreting service is available. Special services include our A La Carte Gourmet Gifts, Company Gifts and Fashion Advice Point. There is a Bureau de Change, restaurant, café, and coffee shop and an express delivery service to hotels. Communications centre and a delivery service to avoid carrying packages home. - PRAZA ELÍPTICA SHOPPING CENTRE (Plaza Francisco Fernández del Riego s/n Tel: 986 485 650)
The Plaza Elíptica Shopping Centre is located right in the centre of Vigo, only 100m from Plaza de España and Gran Vía. It is a popular meeting point and occupies an area of 40,000m2 in six floors.
A four-storey car park has a capacity for 419 cars. The shopping area includes one floor full of restaurants and cafés like Hollywood Fosters, Mc Donald’s, Pans & Company, Jamaica Coffee Shop, Gambrinus, and others. The other floor mainly contains fashion stores, accessories, household goods and services. Some of these stores are Froiz Supermarket, Gong Discs, Pórtico (home/decoration), U de Adolfo Domínguez (designer fashion), Natura, Cadena Master, K.A. Internacional, and many more.
There is also an eight-screen cinema with the latest technology (THX sound).
- A Laxe (C/Canovas del castillo nº 1. Tfn: 986443788)
A Laxe covers 13200m2 divided into 45 permises and includes two underground floors for parking for 500 cars, three floors for shopping and the top floor with a cafe with views of the sea.
A Laxe is located at the heart of the port area.
