BREAKFAST 2.0 : VIGO, DESTINATION 2.0

The first Breakfast 2.0 titled 'Vigo, Destination 2.0' will take place at Auditorio Mar of Vigo on Friday, October 26, brought by the City Council of Vigo, in collaboration with Vigo Convention Bureau.

It will be a space dedicated to analysis and reflection on use of new technologies for promotion of tourism within the second edition of Blogger Trip Vigo.

This is an activity within the framework of the Tourist Competitiveness Plan of Vigo, Urban Tourism and the River, carried out thanks to a partnership agreement signed between the Institute of Tourism of Spain España (Turespaña), the General Secretary of Tourism of the Regional Council of Galicia, the City Council of Vigo and the Provincial Federation of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra Province.

PROGRAM:

  • 09’30 hrs – Welcome coffee
  • 10’00 hrs – Event commencement. Welcome speech from the authorities and breakfast meeting presentation.
  • 10’15 hrs – 'Tourism promotion online'. Melissa Jarquín, Former Vice President of AIN (Interamerican Internet Association)
  • 10’45 hrs – 'Online Marketing. How do I allocate my resources? Tomeu Benassar. General Director of Logitravel

SEBASTIAN CANAVES - Off the path

 

Sebastian Canaves is a Spaniard, but since he's been living outside of Spain for such a long time, he decided to write in German and English. He moved to Salzburg, Austria when he was 14. Four years later he left Europe and moved to Australia, where he worked in a marketing department of an Austrian company. After the 'Down Under' studies in Netherlands he did an exchange semester in Bulgaria. He just moved to Berlin after of living in Bangkok and working in a marketing sector for a year.Sebastian publishes articles about his adventures at 'Off-The-Path.com'.

KAREN BRYAN - Europe a la carte

 

Karen Bryan has worked as an online travel editor since 2002 when Europe a la carte travel blog was created in the beautiful Berwick upon Tweed, United Kingdom.

The blog was launched in October of 2006 and became so popular that in 2009 Karen was able to leave her job in order to dedicate all her time to the blog.

Karen has traveled all over Europe, from Island until Cyprus.

Europe a la carte features tips on best destinations in Europe, hotel recommendations, restaurant reviews and local opinions.

DANIEL RUIZ

DANIEL RUIZ - Viajares

 

David Ruiz is a professional online marketing and online design freelancer with over 17 years of experience. He has worked with biggest brands in companies like the Planet Group or CG&Y. He has three small children and he likes to organize family trips and escapes whenever it is possible.

Part of Viajares.es blog has other travel and tourism related projects, such as Blogtrip.es blog or generic travel account in twitter @_viajar.

He collaborated in organization of the TravelBloggers Meeting.

Viajares.es was created in 2009 in order to share his experience of traveling with kids, as well as opinions about tourism marketing, blogging and destinations. He is focused local and nearby destinations, without disdaining other kinds of trips.

COLE BURMESTER

COLE BURMESTER - Four Jandals - Traveldudes

 

Ever since 2009 Cole has traveled all over the world, along with his girlfriend Adela.

He is found of sports and this fuels his passion for travel.

After finishing his university studies in 2006, Cole traveled abroad to California to a ski resort. He didn't think that a trip to US will get him hooked up on travel, but it did. After returning to New Zealand he landed what he thought was his dream job in the Environmental Planning Field. However, he was not giving up on his passion for travel.

Currently, he works full-time on development of Four Jandals. 'Four Jandals' is a leading position blog on adventure travel in New Zealand. His main objective is to inspire others to undertake travel. Through the blog he wants to encourage other people to try adventure travel and show that it doesn't necessarily involve sacrificing convenience. The blog commenced with an epic 18.000 km road trip in Canada and United States. It started with brief recordings in a notebook about how much they spent, where they went every day, what they've seen and experienced.

He also works as a local editor for TravelDudes - a website where travelers can share their passion and experience.
