O Cocho Beach and Mourisca Beach

Fishing beaches next to the Museum of the Sea

Mourisca Beach, also known as Matadero Beach, and O Cocho, are two coves with fine sand and clear waters, ideal for a family beach day in Vigo. They’re on either side of the Museum of the Sea, so you’ll have a complete day of entertainment for your family.

You’ll enjoy the stroll during any season, since the museum's unique perspective, perfectly integrated with the surrounding beaches, makes for lovely views. The regular fishermen anchor their boats, guarded by the breakwater, and pass the time contemplating the sea

These are two of the many beaches offered by Alcabre, a neighbourhood dotted with small and beautiful coves.

Santa Baia Beach is very close and there’s public parking. Go down the hill next to the Alcabre Parish Church.
