Santa Ana

Celebrations and devotion to Santa Ana in summer

The Santa Ana de Beade festivities are one of the most authentic traditional festivals in Vigo. In late July, the parish of Beade dresses up in its Sunday best to celebrate its festivities. Like in all of these types of celebrations, religious ceremonies are combined with vermouth sessions and dancing for several days. If you're in Vigo on those dates, we recommend you don’t miss these festivities; they preserve the essence of the most traditional Galician celebrations.

Tips and recommendations:

The parish of Beade is one of the furthest from the centre, which is why many customs of its rural past have been kept intact. It’s a very green area, ideal for a family day and a must if you’re in Vigo in spring, which is when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
