Camping in the Cíes Islands

Stay the night in the Cíes Islands

The only way to camp in the Cíes is to book one of the 800 spots in the campsite. Make sure to do it in advance, it’s the most popular in the province. Set in a magical natural environment, you’ll fall asleep listening to the waves and you'll wake up to the sound of yellow-footed seagulls, a species whose largest colony in Europe is in the Cíes.

The Cíes campsite, 25 square miles in size, is 150 feet from the beach and has a restaurant, café, shop and lounge. You can even rent a tent there if you've come to Vigo without one. They’re rented with a bed and mattress included, so you can sleep comfortably.

Tips and recommendations:

There’s no electricity in the Cíes campsite, so bring flashlights or a camping gas stove.

Please be extremely careful: you're camping in a protected environment.
