The Pacheco Archive will take you through the city’s last two centuries: stunning images of Vigo in a unique collection of 140,000 photos taken between the late 19th century and the early 1970s.
The photographs were taken by several generations of photographers in the Pacheco family, and are a real visual tour through the history of Vigo.
The archive can be visited in the Casa das Artes, right in the centre of Vigo.
If you’re interested in seeing this photographic archive, you can book an appointment; many of the collections are not shown to the general public, given the huge amount of images owned by the Council of Vigo.
