ROMAN FOR A DAY... AT THE TORALLA ROMAN VILLA!

Turismo de Vigo

The Roman Villa of Toralla, next to Vao Beach, is the only fully excavated Roman villa in Galicia open to visitors. Dating from the 4th–5th centuries AD, the site includes the residence of the owners, their family and servants, as well as salt pans where sea salt was produced for trade.

This is a unique and highly significant archaeological site, located on what was once the private estate of the Mirambell family, who discovered the remains and donated them to the city.

The Roman Villa is especially enjoyable to visit during July and August, thanks to its beautiful surroundings and its theatrical guided tours, which transport visitors back to Ancient Rome.

Enjoy scenes full of history and excitement, including traditional Roman weddings, perfume-making demonstrations, dances, period crafts and the spectacular gladiator combats.

Dates: July 16, 23 and 30; August 6, 13 and 20.
Two performances each day: 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Free admission until full capacity is reached (+info: 010).
